Request for Bids: Gordon Slough Erosion Repair Project
The Cache Creek Conservancy (CCC) is accepting bids for its Gordon Slough Erosion Repair Project at the Cache Creek Nature Preserve. A pre-bid site visit is scheduled for 9 a.m. Thursday, March 23, 2023.

Project Phoebe at the Preserve
A group of UC Davis PhD students are researching the bird, Black Phoebes at the CCNP. See how they paint the toenails of the chicks to keep track of them.

Earth Day Photo Contest 2023
Capture the wild and natural beauty of Cache Creek in time for Earth Day by participating in our amateur photo contest. The contest period starts on March 1 and concludes on Earth Day, April 22.

Great Backyard Bird Count 2023
The Great Backyard Bird Count is an international 4-day event celebrating the world of birds. Spend time at Cache Creek Nature Preserve watching birds and report your findings to help scientists understand and protect birds around the globe.

Yolo Christmas Bird Count
On Wednesday, December 28, you can be a part of local natural history by joining us at the Yolo Christmas Bird Count. Teams of citizen scientists (basically, anyone interested) will participate in a day of organized nature walks and bird tallying.

“Bye, Bye” Harnawaz
Harnawaz Boparai, the Conservancy’s biologist working on special projects, has left the Conservancy to pursue his academic career in ecological paleontology. We had a special last day in a Chevy on a levee eating pie!

Christine Golden Honored at Philanthropy Day
Christine Golden was selected as the Cache Creek Conservancy’s Philanthropy Day Honoree for 2022. She will receive special recognition with the other 27 volunteers or donors from throughout Yolo County at a reception on November 15.
