Wildflower Seed Packet
Congratulations! You have received a Cache Creek Conservancy wildflower seed packet. These seed packets contain a mixture of wildflower seeds native to the California’s Sacramento Valley. Many of the flower species have a range that is wider than the Central Valley, and may even extend beyond the California Border, although we try to source local ecotypes when possible through Hedgerow Farms. Please note that this is a seed mixture, so there is no guarantee of which flower species are in the seed packet, or which will germinate.
For the best results when planting your seeds, wait until after the first rains of Fall or Winter. Weed a small of patch of ground (roughly around 3’x3′) and gently loosen the surface of the soil. Sprinkle the seeds over this area and gently pat the soil or water the seeds into the ground.
We recommend visiting California Native Plant Society’s Calscape website for more detailed information on each flower species and their required growing conditions (you may also click the flower image below to be redirected to their specific Calscape page.)
