From prehistoric times to today, the Cache Creek Nature Preserve has played an important part in the great story of California.

We saw 51 species of birds on our September 15th Seasonal Wildlife Series Walk. It was a really nice. morning walk.

Many of you know Elize from the CCNP Tours. She was largely responsible for creating the tour and the docent program.

Visit our booth at the Woodland Farmers Market. Kids can make animal prints, pet pelts and learn about local wildlife.

Saturdays, 9 am to noon until mid-October.

What a perfect way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day!

The Nature Preserve was showing off its green as all the plants were coming out of their winter slumber.

Cache Creek Nature Preserve is a microcosm of Northern California habitats; wetlands, marsh, riparian, oak savannah, and grasslands. The Conservancy is sponsoring a series of walks where we will leisurely explore each of these habitats observing and learning about the birds and other wildlife as we go.
