Sunday March 1st 9AM-12PM
Join us on the 1st Sunday of each month from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM to volunteer at our newly installed Frog Pond at the Nature Preserve!
We will be beautifying the pond area by completing tasks such as moving rocks for landscaping, weeding, and installing cages to protect newly planted native species.
Please wear sturdy, closed-toed shoes and field-appropriate clothing (no shorts), and bring a reusable water bottle. All necessary tools, gloves, and water will be provided. If you have your own gloves, we recommend bringing them, but we will have extras available.
We may be pulling non-native stinging nettles (Urtica dioica) and thistles (Silybum sp. and Carduus sp.), which can cause skin irritation if touched with bare skin.
No Registration Required!
All attendees must sign a waiver before participating. Participants under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian. You may sign a physical copy upon arrival or complete our e-waiver in advance using the linked here.
We will meet in the parking lot at 9:00 AM and walk to the pond together.
