Gerardo Zavalo reported on the event in the Daily Democrat: “Cache Creek Conservancy holds first ‘Bat Night Sights’ event”

The Cache Creek Nature Preserve is hosting a fun night of bat-related activities, education, and sightings.

Learn about local bats and bat boxes, become an assistant bat biologist, listen to a story time, and create bat crafts! This night is also a full moon so it will be a great opportunity to watch the bats fly out of the on-site bat boxes.

Where to start? The Bat Night will take place in our historic barn.

What to bring? Flashlight (optional), binoculars, bottled water
