About Hiking Photo Challenge
The Hiking Photo Challenge invites you to some go to unique Yolo County parks and open spaces to enjoy the health benefits of being in nature.
Fitness trackers will be given to the first 100 people who complete the challenge. This challenge is sponsored by a Teichert Foundation grant as part of the Yolo Healthy Parks Healthy People program.
You are encouraged to upload your selfies to your Facebook or Instagram (or both) accounts with these specific hashtags:

- #takeahike
- #yolohp2
- #cachecreekconservancy
You also are encouraged to like and share to the Cache Creek Conservancy’s Facebook and Instagram accounts too.
Parks & Open Spaces To Visit
Five Yolo County Parks or open spaces were selected as places to visit as part of the Hiking Photo Challenge. The five parks are:
- Cache Creek Nature Preserve
- The Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area Pond Walk
- UC Davis Arboretum!
- Putah Creek Nature Park in Winters!
- Capay Open Space Park in Capay
Rules for Hiking Photo Challenge
1. Only one fitness tracker per person for the first 100 participants. After the first 100 fitness trackers are gone, the Cache Creek Conservancy reserves the right to substitute a different item in place of the fitness tracker.
2. Participants must upload at least two selfies or photos of others in their group, one at each of the designated spots in the park. to [email protected] .
3. Participants also must submit a short description for the submission to be considered complete.
4. Only one park visit per week for the first five weeks. Once more than one park is listed, only one park per day may be submitted to the Cache Creek Conservancy.
