Intern Spotlight: Molly Cooper
Molly is a UC Davis student studying Wildlife, Fish and Conservation Biology.
She joined our internship program because she is interested in learning more about the process of ecological restoration and exploring potential career paths. This internship has helped her narrow down her career choice, which is to do wildlife research and restoration.
Learning about bird IDs and surveys has been her favorite thing so far. Being good at bird ID and surveys a useful skill in future research and restoration projects, it’s an important part of monitoring the success of restoration efforts and planning its maintenance. It helps with recreational birdwatching, too!
One of her favorite memories is finding a GHOW nest while performing Point Count Surveys.
