A GREAT big thank you to everyone who participated in the 24th annual Great Backyard Bird Count. This year, the Cache Creek Nature Preserve was open during the entire President’s Day weekend, from February 12-15, to allow four days of bird watching fun.
Birders who submitted eBird reports for the Cache Creek Nature Preserve observed 76 different species and counted 1,765 birds! Their contributions to the eBird database will help researchers assess the health of bird populations and inform habitat management decisions.
