Visitors may view the fossils at Cache Creek Nature Preserve on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, from 10 a.m. to noon. You may also call our office to set up a special meeting for a small group.

Old, Red Conveyor Belt Bridge

The bridge was originally installed by Teichert Aggregates as a conveyor belt to transport mined gravel to a processing site.

It is now under Yolo County jurisdiction and in the future may be converted into a walking bridge to connect public access sites on either side the creek as part of the Cache Creek Parkway Plan.

The bridge is currently not open for use by the public, so please refrain from using it to trespass on the Nature Preserve.
