Docent Training – Dinosaurs!

What: Preview and training for people who want to be docents at the Cache Creek Nature Preserve Visitor Center

From Barney to Godzilla, dinosaurs have captured the imagination and interest of humans since 1677, when the first dinosaur bone was discovered.

Even the Cache Creek Conservancy/Nature Preserve is not immune to the lure of the prehistoric, and the region’s prehistoric residents are the focus of a new display at the Nature Preserve’s Visitor Center. The Cache Creek Conservancy recently received a donation of prehistoric animal bones donated by CEMEX and Yolo County.

If you too are intrigued with the prehistoric, we have a need for people who are interested in being Visitor Center docents. As a docent, you would be on hand to answer questions that visitors may have about the displays.

Participants will be among the first to see the new displays, hear from Conservancy naturalists Harnawaz Boparai and Diana Dripps about the displays, and learn a little bit more about Cache Creek’s pre-and more recent history.

This event is over. Please check our list of Current Events for more ways you can join us.
