Over 100 Tires out of Cache Creek

The Creek Cleanup went really well last Saturday (September 21st).

A big thanks to Supervisor Mary Vixie Sandy and Mayor Tania Garcia-Cadena for coming out and speaking to us before the event. And a special thanks to Pena Adobe and Woodland Joint Unified American Indian Education Program who set up display tables.

๐Ÿ’š ๐Ÿ’š ๐Ÿ’š And we send out a HUGE thank you to 67 Volunteers ๐Ÿ’š ๐Ÿ’š ๐Ÿ’š
who picked up trash and dug up tires out of the creek.

There was 150 pounds of trash and just over 100 tires pulled out of 1.5 miles of Cache Creek in the matter of a few hours by the volunteers.

We also send a special shout out to Pioneer High Schoolโ€™s Environmental Club for taking on the challenge of hiking to the furthest reaches and digging up the big tractor tires.
